Bad Blogger, Bad.

So, I know I've been absent. I swear I have an excuse. See, I got this puppy. He's really cute and fluffy and precious, but he's a freakin' crazy man inside. He tinkles (and by tinkle I mean pee) where ever he deems appropriate and chews on anything. So every five seconds J and I say "where's the pup?" In mid sentence even. Ugh. So, the bags under my eyes are the only new thing that I have to show for last week and this past weekend.

We did get to enjoy a wonderful Saturday evening with J's parents, his sister, and her hubby. Her blog has all the photos and what not. She is the photo taker of the family (and her pops) so she documented the night very well.

We brought the pups to the vet this morning for Foster's check up and other things and Sam's first check up with our vet. Everything went great and J picked them up at lunch. The vet did say that Foster needs to lose 10 pounds. Yea, me too. We've been bad parents because even though he eats the minimum amount of food a day, we don't exercise him like he needs. So, since my fat butt needs to get in shape, too, we're walking. I love dusk, it's the most magical time of day, especially in the summer, so that's our walking time. I'll keep you updated.

I should have an Etsy Finds post tomorrow, but don't hold your breath. I'd hate to be responsible for you passing out. The reason I might not have it done is because I have a date with about 6 hot chicas tomorrow to see Eclipse and have chips and salsa. If only I could watch the movie and eat chips and salsa at the same time; a girl can dream. I will have a fun Homefront update for you on Thursday, so keep your eyes peeled for that little nugget of goodness.

For now, I'm tired. Peace.

Getting Along

Please excuse my messy house. Just focus on the sweet dogs lying next to each other! Progress!

Foster and Sam: A Comparison

Could they be cuter? Or more alike? It doesn't stop with just looks. They have VERY similar mannerisms. I just love watching them, they're hilarious! It's funny when Foster has clearly had enough puppy time and Sam doesn't get it at all.

I love my boys, especially my Jeremy. He is such a wonderful man and he's so good with the dogs, I know he'll make a great daddy to our kids one day. But for now, we have two very furry boys to tend to, the other kids will come in time.

Have a great Tuesday and I'll see you here tomorrow for Etsy finds: Dog Edition!!

Weekend Update Part 2

So, I'm not pregnant. But we did get another member of our family this weekend!! This new edition is Samuel Adams Morin. We have this silly thing about dogs being named after beer. Sam is so similar to Foster it's crazy. He's the same breed make up, he's got the same quirks and he looks just like him! We are so in love with this guy it's crazy. Foster wasn't too sure about him on Saturday, but he's warming up to him and even sharing some toys! This kid is hilarious to watch. His name is fitting because he walks like he's had a six pack or two and trips over everything! He's very happy and he sleeps through the night with no accidents or whining! Praise the Lord!

We are so blessed to have found this little man and we can't for everyone to see him! I'll be posting more pictures later so look out! And Kelsi, we totally didn't mean to "steal" the name, it was just so perfect!! I'm hoping since your Sam is such a sweetheart, the name will carry on!

Oh, and tomorrow is Foster's (our original boy) 4th Birthday. I might have to skip Storefront tomorrow and do a Foster tribute.

Happy Monday everyone, enjoy the day.

Weekend Update Part 1

Good Monday Morning!! I have some exciting news to share later today, just keep a weathered eye out and by this afternoon you'll know what's going on at the Morin casa.
Hehe, don't you just love suspense?

List Love

Today's list love is supposed to take you back. This is in honor of my brother who is heading to Mississippi on Monday to continue his work in youth ministry. My brother and I watched a lot of movies as kids. We had our favorites, as all kids do, that we watched over and over. These are just a few of our top picks.

1. A Goofy Movie: who doesn't love Goofy?

2. Newsies: Christian Bale as a singing/dancing newsboy with an awful New York accent, classic.

3. Dennis the Menace: the one with Walter Mathou, this movie is hilarious. I still watch it.

4. The Chipmunk Adventure: the musical numbers in this movie are amazing,
chipmunks can rock it.

5. Duck Tales The Movie- Treasure of the Lost Lamp: this should be a must for every kid, it's funny, suspenseful, and full of ducks. You can't go wrong.

6. Toy Story 1&2: I cannot wait to see the third one, but the first two are just splendid.

7. The Sandlot & Rookie of the Year: these are so similar, I didn't want to take up two spaces. We freakin' loved baseball movies. These are the best of the 90's I tell ya.

8. Disney movies: it's hard for me to be specific because we watched ALL of them. We're definately a Disney family and as kids that's all we watched. Including the older real person movies like Pete's Dragon, The Apple Dumpling Gang, and Herbie the Lovebug.

9. Hocus Pocus: not limited to just Halloween, my sister and I made Tyler
watch this year round. It's just great!

10. Indiana Jones Trilogy: even as kids we knew the greatness that is Indie. We could sit and watch all three in one sitting.

There really are more, but I think 10 is enough. So, what were some movies that you
watched over and over as a kid?

Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and watch an old movie
this weekend to go back in time for a bit!

Weekend Update

This weekend:

My friend Laura and her husband had their second baby girl, Eleanor Holden Robinson. Precious beyond belief.

Ate supper with my parents and siblings. Laughed, chatted, and spoke of gin and Zoolander. Lovely as always.

Breakfast with Brother, and Jer at the Farmer's Market Restaurant. Think biscuits, country ham, sweet tea, and a rising cholesterol.

Moved Christie and James into their new apartment. Read: hot sweaty fun mess.

Had a World Cup party at Dom and Joel's and watched the US tie England (lame).

Served in the nursery at church. I love two year old kids. Seriously, it's not the terrible two's, its the three's you gotta watch out for. They're crazy. Crazy as straws.

Enjoyed lunch with a couple that makes me laugh, out loud. Adam and Kaitlyn, you're hilarious.

Spent some relaxing time at Jer's parents house for Sunday supper. Aaah, summer is settling in nicely.

Dreaded Sunday night because Monday morning brings the 9-5. Slept soundly, as always.

Busy weekend, but lots of time spent with family, friends, and the dog. Plus, we welcomed a new baby into this world. I am truly blessed.

List Love

Oh man, I've been out of the blogging world for two weeks. I should be shunned. Please don't shun me. Here's a list love as a peace offering.

Favorite Movies to Watch When You're Sick

1. Steel Magnolias: I could watch this movie anytime, but I especially love it when I'm down. It is sad but it's a sweet and hilarious movie, too.

2. Paris Je' Taime: This is a great movie. Tons of actors and a couple of directors, funny, silly, weird. It's just a great mash up.

3. Hook: Just makes me think of being a kid and that always makes me smile.

4. Across the Universe: I just love to sing along and get lost in the 60's.

5. Becoming Jane: I love a great romantic movie to get lost in when I'm sick. Every time I watch this movie I want to write. But with an ink pen, like Jane. Along with this is Pride and Prejudice (sorry Dom, I like the new one)

There will be a lot of Lists involving movies, because I love movies. Love them.

So, what are your favorite movies to watch when you've got the sniffles? I'd love to know.

Bye for now.

Oh, and praise the Lord, my friend Laura had a beautiful baby girl today. Yay!

Absence

This photo has nothing to do with this post. I just love it. My brother and I a million years ago.

I'm so sorry for the blog absence. I have been without a camera. Our digital one that my lovely sister-in-law loned to us has pooped out. I went to turn it on one day and it was fine, even took a couple of photos. Then, it turned off, but the lens didn't close like it normally would. We changed the batteries and nothing worked! So, I'm going to try to fix that guy and hopefully be back in blogging buisness. I'm also going to take some photos with my film camera and get those developed and see what I come up with! I'll continue with Etsy finds for tomorrow and try to share some photos from the past couple of weekends (from other's cameras). We will have a Friday List Love, because lists make everything better!!

Thanks for hanging in there! You guys rock!!
